With this icons for free20in20 I'd like to present you the Pre-Raphaelites. I'm totally in love with this English painters who believed that the Classical poses and elegant compositions of Raphael in particular had been a corrupting influence on academic teaching of art. They aimed to go back to a more genuine art, exemplified as they saw it by the work of the Nazarenes, and rooted in realism and truth to nature. The Pre-Raphaelites adopted a high moral stance that embraced a sometimes unwieldy combination of symbolism and realism. They painted only serious - usually religious or romantic - subjects, and their style was clear and sharply focused. it entailed a unique insistence on painting everything from direct observation. So all the paints of this post belong to this moviment! Teasers: ( La Belle Dame sans Merci... )
Ahoy! Today I read a new book, The Evil Seed by Joanne Harris! I like it so much because she looks at the vampires in a different way. In the real way they are: monsters. This book give me inspiration for icons, so I make some stock graphics (mostly with read head women, 'cause the main character of the book is a red vampire!). x31 Stock Icons Teasers: ( Qualcosa in me ricorda e non vuol dimenticare. )
